Bad habits to avoid for good sleep

 


According to doctors, a healthy person should sleep at least 7 hours. Sleep and wake up at the same time every day. Dos and don'ts before going to sleep should be taken care of.


Things not to do before sleeping


☆ Do not eat coffee, chocolate, i.e. caffeine-like foods and tea after 5 pm before going to bed. But can eat milk.


☆ Do not smoke.


☆ Avoid taking any kind of drugs.


☆ Do not take sleeping pills without doctor's advice.


☆ Do not keep piles of things in the bedroom.


☆ It is better not to take long naps during the day. It's different if you're very tired. Power naps are good for the body and mind


☆ It is better not to worry about anything before sleep.



What to do before bed


☆ The bedroom should be calm and quiet. There should be no television or other electronics in the bedroom. Do not eat heavy food before going to bed.


☆ Things to do for good and peaceful sleep


☆ A warm bath can be taken before sleeping.


☆ Before going to sleep, you can turn off all the lights in the room and read a book in a dim light.


☆ Make it a habit to go to bed at the same time every day. Doctors say that if you go to sleep between 10-11 pm, you can sleep fully.



☆ Follow a healthy diet. Eat dinner one hour before going to bed.


☆ Body temperature usually rises during sleep. So the temperature of the sleeping room should be kept cool.


☆ Keep away all electronic devices ie cell phone, tab etc. before going to sleep.


☆ Light exercise or meditation can be done shortly before.
